Los Angeles, April 7, 2023 – The Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation will sponsor the Woofies & Meow Meows adoption event happening at our six LA Animal Services Centers on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9. During the Woofies & Meow Meows weekend, the adoption fees for dogs will be reduced by $50, which does not include the $20 license fee. Adoption fees for cats and kittens will be waived by the Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation.
“Our Centers are filled with large and medium-sized dogs as well as cats and kittens looking for new homes,” said Annette Ramirez, Interim General Manager for LA Animal Services. “Visit any of our six Centers this weekend to meet your new furry family member.”
“This is an excellent opportunity to save a life, get a great new companion, and contribute to your community,” said Bill Crowe, Director of The Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation.
Dogs and cats adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, and microchipped, and adopters receive a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, canine companions adopted from LA Animal Services are also eligible for free dog training classes at the Paws for Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA. Contact Info@pawsforlifek9.org for more details.
