Kitten Season
Kitten Season is the time of year when an enormous influx of kittens enter animal shelters that typically occurs in the Spring and lasts throughout Summer. LA Animal Services needs the help of our community to manage the increased intake of kittens during these very busy months.
If you are interested in fostering baby kittens, join us as we host our Baby Bottle Orientation workshops happening in March and April. The Baby Bottle Orientation workshops are from 10am to 2pm on:
- Sunday March 23 - West Los Angeles
- Saturday, March 29 - East Valley
- Sunday March 30 - Harbor
- Saturday, April 12 - East Valley
- Sunday, April 13 - West Los Angeles
- Saturday, April 26 - East Valley
- Sunday, April 27 - West Los Angeles
LA Animal Services has resources below to let you know what to do if you see baby kittens in your backyard as well as a foster handbook if you’re ready to be kitten foster hero. Because it’s all hands on deck during kitten season, we also have addiional helpful resources available from our partners at the The Human Resources Support Services project.
