Los Angeles, June 2, 2023 – June is Adopt a Cat month, and to celebrate and encourage adoptions of our feline friends, adoption fees for all cats and kittens are waived starting June 3 through June 11, thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA. Reduced adoption fees will be offered for dogs and puppies, June 3 and 4, and June 10 and 11.
“Our shelters continue to be at capacity as animals continue to be brought in with nowhere else to go,” said Annette Ramirez, Interim General Manager for LA Animal Services. “Now is a wonderful time to bring home a new cat or kitten while adoption fees are waived thanks to the ASPCA.”
Dogs and cats adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, and microchipped, and adopters receive a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, canine companions adopted from LA Animal Services are also eligible for free dog training classes at the Paws for Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA.
