Basic Black Adoption Event: Sept. 29

Sunday, September 29, 2024
11:00am - 5:00pm

The Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation is sponsoring the Basic Black adoption event happening at all six LA Animal Services Centers on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29. During the Basic Black weekend, the adoption fees for dogs with primarily black fur will be reduced by 50%, which does not include the $20 license fee for LA City residents. Adoption fees for cats and kittens will be reduced by 50%

Furry friends adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, and microchipped, and adopters receive a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, canine companions adopted from LA Animal Services are also eligible for free dog training classes at the Paws for Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA. Contact Info@pawsforlifek9.org for more details.

If you can't adopt, consider fostering a pet. When you adopt or foster a canine buddy or feline friend, you not just save the life of that animal, but you will also free up a space for another dog or cat in need.
