Great curb appeal, community rooms for cats, get acquainted yards for dogs, separate quarters for bunnies, a medical suite for special animal care, and for the humans, a community conference space, a pleasant atmosphere, and plenty of parking. The new West Los Angeles Animal Care Center on Pico Boulevard was first occupied by four-legged residents on November 5, 2007, leaving behind the cramped kennels and cages of the former shelter on the corner of Missouri and Bundy. Dog kennels increased from 26 to 101.
